The registration for the Information Day on "Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research, and the Bioeconomy" (Societal Challenge 2) on 4 July 2019 is now available on the event webpage. Registration is free of charge and compulsory.

Health Partnering Day - 4 July 2019 - Brussels - Save the Date

In connection to the Open Info Day of the European Commission (3 July 2019 in Brussels) and dedicated to “Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing” (Societal Challenge 1) in Horizon 2020, the Health NCP Net 2.0 will organise an international brokerage event on Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 1 (SC1) calls on 4 July 2019 in Brussels.

Get involved in the next and last round of H2020 Health proposals!

Do not miss this opportunity as this will be the last brokerage organised by the Health NCP Network in Horizon 2020. This international partnering event will help you to build your consortium for 2020 updated calls of the 2018-2020 Health Work Programme.

You can register here from 29 April onwards.

European Research and Innovation Days in Brussels

Mark your calendars for the European Research and Innovation Days, a gathering of Europe’s best and brightest researchers, scientists, innovators and policy makers. Taking place in Brussels on 24, 25 and 26 September 2019, this inaugural annual event features a high-level Policy Conference, an Innovative Europe Hub and the annual ‘Science is Wonderful’ exhibition.
The European Commission’s Research & Innovation Directorate-General is delighted to host this event in the iconic venue KANAL-Centre Pompidou, located on Quai des Péniches in Brussels, Belgium.

Info session H2020 -no financial errors.be -2019-edition

The "H2020 - no financial errors.be" information session was organised on April 2 2019 in Brussels by the European Commission in close cooperation with the Belgian Legal and Financial National Contact Points.

The aim of the event was to explain to Horizon2020 project partners how to avoid errors in Horizon 2020 project reporting. Topics such as personnel costs, other direct costs, third parties, lumps sum grants will be covered during this whole day event.

The presentations of this event are now available on the section Horizon 2020 presentations of the Eurofed website and on the event website.

Launch of the Horizon Europe Mission Boards - Call for expression of interest now open until 11/06/2019

The European Commission has launched the call for expression of interest for the “Horizon Europe Mission Boards”. These boards will help to define and design the missions in Horizon Europe. The aim of the missions is to maximise the impact of EU support to research and innovation and demonstrate its relevance for society and citizens.

The duly signed applications must be sent by 12:00 on 11th June 2019 at the latest. You can find more information about the missions, the mission boards and the call for expression of interest here. We encourage you to disseminate this call and ask potential respondents of the Belgian federal departments and federal scientific institutions to also inform Belspo via email (fp9-input@belspo.be) in case of candidacy.

The Horizon Impact Award has been launched

Horizon 2020, the EU research and innovation programme, and its predecessor, the 7th Framework Programme (FP7, 2007-2013). The contest is open to FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects that have been completed and that can provide proof of the impact they have created. Each of the five winners will receive €10 000.

This prize aims to illustrate the wider socio-economic benefits of EU investment in research and innovation and to encourage project beneficiaries on how to best manage and utilise research results. The five winners will be announced and awarded at the R&I Days in Brussels in September, with more than 4,000 high-level participants.
The contest is now open for applications.
